What to bring to your medical

  • An accepted form of Identification
This must be either a photo-card driving licence or passport.

  • Your previous medical certificate (if applicable).

  • Your current Pilot’s licence (if applicable).

  • Spectacles – if you wear them.
If you wear spectacles, please bring a copy of your current spectacle prescription with you. Likewise, information for contact lens prescription should be brought to the medical. If you wear contact lenses you will need to remove them for part of your eye examination. Please ensure you bring a suitable container to store them in.

  • A completed application form (Med160).
Please bring a completed copy of this with you to your examination. The form should be completed in black ball point pen. Please follow instructions carefully which are given in detail on the final page of the form. If this is your first ever medical you will not yet have a CAA reference number. This will be generated for you at the start of your medical. Do not sign or date the form before your medical.
